There's new legislation designed to prevent a digital dollar from intruding on consumer privacy — with a report also revealing how central banks could enhance CBDC adoption.

The Japanese central bank has established a working group of 60 companies to gain input into its decision on launching a CBDC from a business perspective.

Datachain, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, and Soramitsu announced a technology alliance to enable smooth transfer and exchange of stablecoins to be issued in Japan.
