On March 23, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, Filip Adzic, tweeted that a person with forged documents was detained at the Podgorica airport, who was positively identified as Do Kwon.

A short while later, the South Korean news agency Yonhap News Agency published an article according to which the South Korean police, using documents and photo data, identified Kwon, but are waiting for further information from Montenegro about the detainee's fingerprints.

"We checked the age, nationality and name with the identity card that the person had, and confirmed that this is the same person as CEO Kwon, with photo data,ā€ - an employee of the National Police Department told the Yonhap News Agency.

It is reported that along with Do Kwon, his assistant Han Mo was also arrested.

However, it is not entirely clear what awaits the detainees next, because Montenegro does not have an extradition agreement with either Singapore or South Korea to extradite the criminals. But Montenegro can work within the framework of an extradition treaty with the United States. Montenegro also co-operates with Interpol.
